I have been a tad bit critical...

...of the manner in which allen iverson makes his decisions between passing (trusting in a teammate) and going for his, but i must admit, he has the elements of the perfect point guard.

People underestimate the level at which a, say Randy Moss can understand the game of football, but he and T.O. understand it. Very well I think. Iverson has proven he can score, now he must prove he has the patience. The patience to let the denver nuggets around him get better. He may know this lesson, he may be thinking about it now.

But he can dominate the league as much as, say CP3 or DDay can. Not nash by the way. he is only a jump shooter with an occasional drive now and then.

Iverson knows basketball. and I think this may be the year he chooses to show this to the world.

I could have got him, but i choose to roll with my boy Deron. He is back in about a week or so.

Watch ya back.

A tribute to the Tiny Archibald/Oscar Robinson/Jerry West of the modern era of basketball.

Why I let Jeff Green get 6 turnovers on my team before I dropped him...

...in blind faith that his skill in basketball matches the brillance of the beat of this song.

NOT THE RAPPER, the producer.

Suns and Nuggets prepare for outdoor game

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (AP) -- Phoenix Suns coach Terry Porter said all his team and the Denver Nuggets have to do to prepare for the first outdoor game in modern NBA history is to revert to when they first picked up a basketball.

"You just go back to your childhood days of playing outside, taking in the wind consideration for the jump shots in the corner," the first-year coach joked as his team began a shootaround Friday on a makeshift court at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. "It's a good thing they don't have any chain nets."

The Suns had their first look Friday at the court set up at the facility, which annually hosts world-class men's and women's tennis tournaments in the spring. The exhibition nature of Saturday's game was evident as the Suns took the court, with team owner Robert Sarver and assistant coach Dan Majerle knocking tennis balls from baseline to baseline while Suns guard Raja Bell used another tennis ball to shoot jump shots.

With the moon hanging over the 16,000-seat tennis facility, the players and coaches had their first experience with the wind that swirled around the court.

The breezes for the game are expected to be stronger on the floor of the desert just outside of Palm Springs, but no one knows for sure how much the wind will impact play. The wind Friday was whipping through concourses throughout the Tennis Garden instead of simply flowing over the top of the grandstands and away from the sunken court.

"I didn't have any idea what to expect as far as this being in a tennis arena," Porter said. "But they got it in here. I was impressed they got the court in."

Suns guard Steve Nash said the wind would be too great of a variable for the NBA to hold a regular season game outdoors, but that the tennis court should work for a nationally televised exhibition game.

"This game is really about putting on a good show for the fans and giving them something they have never seen before," Nash said. Nash also said that he thinks he should not be drafted in the first round in fantasy basketball drafts. He does think he should be drafted before Gilbert Arenas.

Predictions for the East

4
Im a sure that the addition of Brand will make the sixers a force in the east. Iggy gives them the player maker and Andre Miller will give a crack load of assists. As will Dalembert get a lot of blocks. BUT problem 1), they will need time to adjust to their teammates as well as the up and down nature of the east where every games is NOT a playoff game (Miami, Charlotte, Indiana, Chicago, New York) and with these ups and downs, i think the sixers may have a few nights where they get caught and not score enough points to put these teams away.

3
This is my team from back in the day, and i know one thing the Pistons are is consistant. The will beat the teams they should beat, win at home and challenge the better teams of the league. But all things considered, their back court is getting old. Injuries will cost this team more than anything else. But i wouldnt want to play the pistons until the conference finals. I got my eye on you stuckey.

2
There is no way in the world that boston can have the best record int he leauge again without a major addition to the team. They need some youth and bounce in that starting line up. People dont miss dunks, and besides KG, there is a pitifully small amount of them with this team. They got Rondo, and he will ball, but I think that Paul Pierce will kill this team with a selection of bad shots. Those bad years in boston taught him to be more like antwan walker and less like tayshaun prince. All of this said, the Celtics CAN repeat, but the will need a second effiencent scorer and my feeling is that that second scorer goes by the name R*O*N*D*O

1
This only makes since. The NBA is still a young mans game. The grind of 82 games is eaiser for a man (especially alien supermen from other planets) of 23 to handle it than for men of 32 to. Simply put, putting Moe Williams on this team is unfair. When this team gets it going, i would not be surprised if they have a 100 point game with less than 10 turnovers. Moe Williams' Assist TO ration is going to be crazy. And they will find a way to get stone hands 8 points a game. The Cavs are for real this year.

Shoes too big

I figured, as much as i am looking forward to the basketball season, i might as well start a blog. I will use this blog as a resource tool for the draft.
